Humans and computers have been on a course of convergence for decades
Our Beliefs
Humans and computers have been on a convergent course for decades. Most of the early computer interfaces relied solely on electromechanical devices such as the keyboard, mouse and yes…even the punch card! However, in more recent times, we see a shift towards sensory-based interfaces such as touch, voice, hearing and vision. The early 2000’s ushered in mainstream acceptance of the touch interface with Android and iOS. Fast-forward to now and acceptance of the next sensory based interface; voice has gained a foothold in homes, businesses and automobiles around the globe. Looking slightly ahead, we can easily imagine combining touch, voice and vision systems to create a completely new paradigm for human machine interactions. Vocalize.ai is focused on the sensory based human machine interfaces. Starting with voice first, we are creating tools and protocols to evaluate and interrogate conversational computing. We provide benchmark data which is based on the preprogrammed conversational expectations that we all share: hearing and understanding.
The Results Are In
AI everywhere is the mantra for companies behind the virtual assistant boom. This provides a steady stream of new products, new form factors, new languages and updated ASR/NLU algorithms. At vocalize.ai we assess these products as part of our ongoing efforts to improve and update our tools. Many of our evaluation results are made publicly available here on our website.
